Who we are

Cosmos Reels is a partnership between Dev Chandra and Ruth Okoye, trading from Unit 6, Hope Mill, 113 Pollard Street, Manchester M4 7JA. Contact: transfer@cosmosreels.com, 0161 707 0264. We trade below the threshold, so no VAT is charged.

Quotes

Inspection and quoting are free. We quote before starting and ring you if the work turns out to need more than quoted — we don't proceed and invoice the difference afterwards.

Your originals

Film and tape remain yours throughout. We photograph everything on arrival and give you the list. Nothing is disposed of without written instruction, and we don't keep copies of your material after you've collected your files, unless you ask us to hold a backup.

What we won't take

We don't copy commercial recordings — films, television, music — because it isn't ours to copy. Home footage that happens to contain a snatch of a broadcast is fine; a shelf of recorded films is not. We also decline material where ownership is unclear, which occasionally means asking an awkward question about a house clearance.

Risk

Old film and tape can fail during handling despite reasonable care, and some arrives already beyond transfer. We carry insurance for loss and damage caused by our negligence; we can't insure against the material's own condition, and no one can.

Payment

On collection or before dispatch. Card, transfer or cash.
